I am 37 and have been wearing glasses since I was 6 or 7. My vision hasn't changed in ten years or so. I have been using LensCrafters for about 20 years but recently the lens were getting cracks off the edges and in the center of the lens over time. Lenscrafters seems to think it was from me dropping my glasses which I don't do. So I figured I'd try sight savers based on my moms recommendation. I went in with a new script from the doctor from the previous week. Asked for a new pr of lens in an old frame and complete new pr of sunglasses. It was around $450 total. I thought this was a fair price. They called me a few days later to let me know my glasses were done. I go to pick them up and they only had the regular glasses done. Okay so I put on the glasses and immediately something is wrong. I told the girl something is wrong. She didn't look to see if they were adjusted right or fit properly. She simply said try them on for a while and if your still having problems you'll have to go back to the eye doctor to check the script. On my 10 min drive home they gave me a headache. I called them to let them know they aren't working right. She told me to go back to the doctor. I had to leave work early to get to the eye doctor the next day and the prescription was right with a minor change that both the doctor and sight savers eye glass guy said shouldn't make a difference. So back at sight savers on the way home, the gentleman who makes the glasses told me I'm overly sensitive and if I were stuck on an island these glasses would work fine but took them back to remake them with a different lens. That's exactly what you want to hear after paying $450, waiting a week, leaving work early, loosing half a days pay and going back to the eye doctor for a second time, that your over sensitive and the glasses are right? I've not worn glasses for 30 years so I wouldn't know if I can see properly! I waited another week. Finally got the call that the glasses are done. Went to pick them up. Tried the glasses on and again they weren't right but for a different reason. Actually the opposite problem. Fuzzy straight ahead and clear just off the center of the glasses. Plus the lenes looked very finely scratched so much so I can see the discoloration with them on. I told the girl. She said try the sunglasses. They were better but still wrong. She said try them on for a while and let your eyes adjust. So it's been 3 days and I have had a constant head ache for 3 days and my vision isn't clear. I called them to explain my issue. She says I have to go back to the dr and if there is a difference in the script they will change the lens. I told her that it's going on weeks and this will be my third eye exam in 3 weeks not to mention the lost time at work. I asked for a refund. She said no because they have already replaced the lens. So that's it. I'm out $450 and have 2 Prs of glasses I can't use. I guess if I was on a deserted island somewhere I would just deal with it. Poor customer service from start to finish and now they refuse to fix the glasses so they can be used. What's the point of having them?

Try them out and hope you don't have a problem after waiting a week for your glasses.

Buyer beware. At its worst LensCrafters is better.
